Skiing in an idyllic winter landscape

The Planneralm has been a beloved destination for alpinists since 1908, thanks to its exceptional snowfall, surpassing most other regions in Upper Styria. This abundance is due to the unique local geography, which allows the Planneralm to benefit from snow-bearing weather systems originating both to the north and the south.

Families love the child-friendly facilities and the affordable prices. Boarders and freeriders relish the sense of true freedom far from groomed natural snow slopes, while sightseers marvel at breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains from 2,200 meters above sea level. Visitors enjoy the charm of rustic and cozy huts, and romantics immerse themselves in nature on cross-country ski trails, winter hiking paths, or by climbing to the top of our illuminated sled run.

From early December to late April, the Planneralm’s prime location at an altitude of 1,600 to 2,200 meters ensures reliable natural snow and outstanding piste conditions.
